Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Service

Skua ("the Service") is operated by Franklin Street Labs. It provides shareable URLs for Jupyter notebook outputs including matplotlib figures, pandas DataFrames, and text.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload malicious content, malware, or illegal material
  • Use the Service to store sensitive data (passwords, API keys, PII)
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or usage restrictions
  • Reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service infrastructure

3. Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading, you grant Skua a license to host and serve that content via the generated URLs. Anonymous findings are accessible to anyone with the URL. Verified accounts may set findings to private.

4. Data Retention

  • Anonymous findings are automatically deleted after 7 days
  • Validated account findings are retained for 90 days from last update, up to a maximum of 1 year
  • We may remove content that violates these terms without notice
  • We do not guarantee permanent availability of any content

5. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We make reasonable efforts to keep it available but do not guarantee uptime. We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time.

6. Liability

Franklin Street Labs is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, including data loss, downtime, or unauthorized access to your content.

7. Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content on Skua infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@skua.dev with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work and the URL of the allegedly infringing content
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder
  • Your contact information and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate

We will respond to valid takedown requests within 14 business days.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
